The last day of the Men’s U19 WFC offered a lot of dramatic moments. The Czech Republic won the gold. The home team’s victory was decided by Matěj Čermák with ninety-nine seconds left in the third period. After winning the World Championship in Halifax two years ago, the Czech team managed to win their second championship in a row.

The bronze was celebrated by the Swedes, who reversed the duel for bronze with Switzerland. After two periods the score was 6:3 for the Swiss. The Swedes made a great turnaround, which was completed by Melker Hemmingberg’s winning shot with fifty seconds left. The Swedes thus improved their appetite after yesterday’s semi-final defeat to the Czech Republic.

The 13th place in the tournament was decided by Belgium, who blasted the Italians 16:2. Seventh place went to the Slovaks, who beat the Poles 6:4. Denmark finished the tournament with a victory, beating the Estonians to take ninth place.
