Another Champions Cup participant, Wiler, occupies the first position in their home top league. But the Swiss team will face a tough opponent in the semifinals in Ostrava – in their battle for the final they will encounter the last year’s defending champions, Classic from Finland.

With 16 matches played, Wiler has a total of 43 points and a one-point lead ahead of the second Zurich, who, however, played only 15 matches so far and with a win they could find themselves at the top of the league table. The Champions Cup participant scored 126 goals while conceding only 53.

The legendary Matthias Hofbauer leads the team stats with 26 points (11+15), followed by three players with 24 points – Marco Rentsch (18+6), Marco Louis (11+13) and Joonas Pylsy (17+7).

The Swiss champions won 11 points from their last five matches, with three wins in regulation, one overtime win and a loss against the above mentioned Zurich.

Wiler – Floorball Köniz 6:5 ot.
Wiler – UHC Thun 6:2
Ad Astra Sarnen – Wiler 2:11
Wiler – Tigers Langnau 8:7
Wiler – Curych 3:6

In the semifinals the Swiss champions will meet the Finnish team Classic.
