The women’s Champions Cup final ended with a Swedish win. Täby were playing a tight match against Dietlikon for forty minutes before they unleashed themselves and totally dominated in the third period, just like against Vítkovice. They won the last twenty minutes 6-0 and will travel home with gold medals.

Both sides didn’t want to make an unnecessary mistake in their last match at the Champions Cup, which was apparent early into the game. The goalies were slowly getting into the pace and showed some interesting and important saves in their crease. The women’s final featured four representatives of the home country as well, with Hana Koníčková and Natálie Martináková playing for Kloten, while the game was refereed by Martin Petřík and Tomáš Podlesný.

Patient floorball from both teams offered many scoring opportunities, but not all of the attempts found the back of the net. The Jets players were in the lead twice during the match, but it wasn’t enough in the end. Following Hana Koníčková’s rebound the score was 3-2 for the Swiss team, but this was Dietlikon’s last goal. Since then, only Täby players scored, who outclassed their opponents in the last period 6-0.

Lisa Carlsson contributed to fifty percent of her team’s goals with two goals and three assists. In the last period the fans witnessed an interesting moment when the referee had to check the video. They were reviewing one of the Swedish goals when the ball hit the back post of Schimd’s goal and ricocheted out quickly. In the end, Täby won by seven goals and became the 2020 Champions Cup winners.

Best players of the match: Isabelle Gerig (Kloten-Dietlikon Jets) – Lisa Carlsson (Täby FC)
