Saturday at Men’s u19 WFC kicked off with a match between Slovakia and Estonia. The match was a success for the Slovaks, who will play for seventh place in the tournament after a 13-0 win.
Slovakia decided to win in the first period. They scored three goals in the first period. The Estonians did not give up. They had several chances but couldn’t score for a long time. On the other hand, the Slovaks added two more goals in the second period. In the third period, Slovakia showed beautiful actions and scored one goal after another. In the end, the Slovaks won 13-0 and got their first victory in the tournament.
Goalkeeper Samuel Melega kept a clean sheet, and he was the second goalkeeper in the tournament to do so. Tomas Kvasnica and Lukas Blasczyk had the biggest contribution to Slovakia’s victory with four points. Slovakia will be seeded among the top eight teams for the next junior championship. Tomorrow they will play for seventh place, the Estonians will fight for ninth place.
