Third place in Group B goes to the Germans, who defeated the Danes 6:3 on Friday. They will play for 5th place on Saturday. Denmark has to settle for games against the winning teams from Groups C and D. The winner of Group B will be decided in the evening in the clash between Sweden and Switzerland.
Denmark was the better team in the first minutes and led 2-0 in the 14th minute after two Magnus Nyeng Jensen goals. But from then on, Germany started to dominate. They turned the game around, built up a four-goal lead and won 7:4. Jakob Heins missed in the third period a penalty shot. Magnus Jensen’s hat-trick can be a consolation for the Danes.
