The Blue Arena in Brno welcomed the northern derby between Sweden and Denmark on Thursday afternoon. In this match, the Swedes were fully dominating, as the final score was showing 11:0.
Eleven goal difference and a clean shield of Swedish goalkeeper means that the Swedes continue through the tournament without a loss and what’s more, after two wins in a row they have also achieved a ticket straight to the semifinals.
Eight different Swedish players got at least one point in this match and it was just two of them who prepared eight from eleven goals for Sweden. Joel Ekström scored and assisted twice and Noah Johansson scored once and assisted three times. There were also other players, who got three points and these were Hjalmar Hjorth, who scored a hattrick, Melker Hemmingberg and August Bergkvist.
Sweden will play the last match in a group B on Friday against Switzerland. Also, Denmark needs to play one more duel which will be against Germany on Friday at 12:15.
