The last game of the first playing day at the Red Arena was played between Hungary and Slovenia. The first match between these teams in the history of the Junior Championships was better for Slovenia, who beat team Hungary 10:7.
The opening goal was scored by Tevz Kopac in the eleventh minute, six seconds later the Slovenes led by two goals after a goal by Podobnik. Hungary managed to level the score in the first period. That was the last time the score was tied. The game was decided by a series of three goals in three minutes at the end of the 1st period. Matija Kozuh contributed four points to victory. The match was played in a great atmosphere, which was taken care of by the fans of both teams. Both teams have their next games tomorrow. Team Hungary will play at 1 p.m. against Belgium, Slovenia will play at 4 p.m. against Estonia.
