Team Norways winning streak in the WFC 2021 continued during the tournaments second day when Norway beat Estonia with 11-1.

Team Norway got off to a flying start in the game against Estonia when Kine Hedlund Eriksen scored the teams first goal after only four and a half minutes of play. A couple of minutes later Julie Gidske scored another goal for Team Norway. However, shortly before the first period had ended Estonias Kirke Pollisinksi shortened the gap with a impressive shot that found its way behind Maiken Ellis in Norways goal.

2-1 then became 5-1 in the second period where Norway continued to impress offensively. And in the third period team Norway came out really strong and scored five goals in only a couple of minutes.

– I think it was a good game. We started yesterday and we’re just continuing to build on as the matches go on. We help each other, starting with a good defense and then we make a lot of goals which I think is important for the continuation of this tournament, said Emma Lunde.

The game against Norway was team Estonias second loss in the WFC 2021, and after the game Estonias Kirke Pollisinski tried to explain what went wrong today.

– We expected to play a little bit better. We also wanted to score more goals but we have another game so we want to focus on that one, said Kirk Pollisinski after the game.

MVP for team Estonia was Diana Klavan. MVP for team Norway was Emma Lunde.
