The IFF has received 26 registrations for the 13th IFF Women´s World Floorball Championships which will be held in Uppsala, Sweden. The host cities and groups for the qualifications have now been confirmed.

Sweden, as the host country, receive automatic qualification, and will be looking to defend their world champion title from 2019, a match they won in overtime against the last WFC hosts, Switzerland. All other teams registered for the event will compete in the regional qualifications.

Qualification System

In Europe, each team will play once against each of the other teams in their group. Based on the results from these group matches, a total of 11 teams will qualify according to the following:

– The three best teams from each qualification group will qualify; and
– The the two best 4th placed teams will qualify.
The calculation of the best 4th teams will follow this order: 1. Average number of points 2. Average goal difference 3. Average scored goals 4. Lottery drawing

In AOFC , each team will play once against each of the other teams in their group. Based on the results from these group matches, a total of 3 teams will qualify according to the following:

– The three best teams will qualify

In Americas , the teams will play each other twice and based on the results of these matches, one team will qualify.
