The AXA Arena in Winterthur will be the venue for the IFF Champions Cup on January 9 and 10, 2021, with the nominated teams from Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic and Switzerland.
After seven years, Switzerland will again be hosting the international club tournament, the IFF Champions Cup. The best women’s and men’s teams from the four top nations will be competing in the AXA Arena in Winterthur for two days. HC Rychenberg Winterthur, as the local organising committee, will be carrying out an international tournament for the first time in the new hall, which was constructed in 2018.
– We are proud to welcome the world’s eight best club teams here in Winterthur. Together with our many fans, we would like to present Winterthur as a floorball city and make a fantastic tournament possible in one of Switzerland’s most beautiful arenas, says Mario Kradolfer, Manager of HCR.
HCR’s playoff matches, which were completely sold out with around 2,000 spectators, offered a hint of the wonderful atmosphere that the teams can expect.
The following teams are eligible to register for the IFF Champions Cup 2021: SV Wiler-Ersigen (M) and Piranha Chur (W) from Switzerland, IBF Falun (M) and IKSU (W) from Sweden, SC Classic (M) and Porvoon Salibandyseura (W) from Finland and Technology Florbal Mladá Boleslav (M) and 1.
