Ahead of the game, Norway could close out the group stage with three out of three victories.  No matter how the game would have ended, Norway had cause to celebrate, Karen Farnes is the first Norwegian female floorball player to reach 75 national caps.

– It’s something I have thought about a lot because I was actually going to break the record last championship but got injured. I’m really proud of myself to reach this far.

The first period would not offer the audience many goals. Only one goal was scored and that was by Norway from the stick of Julia Gidske.

In the second period, the audience hoped for a few more goals, but no. Both teams played good defense and the goalkeepers would not let any shots pass them, the period ended 0-0.

– Even if Norway is ranked nine in the world, we were not afraid and kept fighting throughout the game, said Singaporian Tiffany Ong after the game.

It was not until the third period some more goals would come, both ways. First, Norway scored three followed by Singapore scoring two, ending the game at 4-2. However, that would not be the headline of this game. In the latter half of the period, Sundnes fell unhappily on the wrist which twisted badly. What at first did not look so bad ended with Sundnes having to go to the hospital with what is believed to be a wrist broken.
