— We are looking forward to expose the two World Floorball Championships as much as possible. With a basic schedule now set for the Women’s WFC the work to gain more TV broadcasters will continue up until November and there can still be minor schedule changes due to TV. Having the two WFC’s back to back will give us a huge potential to get new broadcasters for the sport, says IFF Secretary General John Liljelund.
The Women’s WFC 2021 is played with 16 teams and the teams are divided into four groups.
Women’s WFC 2021 Groups:
- Group A: LAT, POL, SUI, CZE
- Group B: SVK, GER, FIN, SWE
- Group C: JPN, USA, DEN, AUS
- Group D: SGP, NFFR*, EST, NOR
* NFFR stands for National Floorball Federation of Russia following the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) ruling in the case WADA v. RUSADA. More information below.
Playing system
In the group stage each team plays each other once, while the second stage of the event includes play-offs and placement matches. NFFR for Russia
Following the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) ruling in the case WADA v. RUSADA, changes are implemented concerning the appearance of the floorball teams from Russia at Adult World Floorball Championships. The IFF is currently in the process of finalising the WFC 2021 guidelines in close co-operation with WADA. At least until the IFF has all the guidelines reviewed by WADA, the IFF and LOC will in all its communication, use the acronym NFFR and the IFF logo, when communicating about the World Floorball Championships 2021.
Ticket sales
The next phase of ticket sales will start in the end of June. The tickets can be purchased from three different sections in the venue and three price categories. Due to Covid-19 a limited number of tickets will be released in each phase. As vaccinations move forward and societies open up, more tickets will be released.
