The last game of day opening day set out to be an exciting one. Both teams played physical throughout the entire game, giving us a great ending to a great day at IFU Arena.

The first period in the game showed two teams who were ready to fight for the win today. A tough game for both teams with a lot of physical play. The Swiss team scored the opening goal to make it 1-0. Shortly after that, the Czechs responded to tie it up, heading into the second period with a tied game, 1-1. 

The second period would also be a tight one score-wise. There would only be one goal scored, by the Czech Michaela Mlejnkova, giving us a score of 2-1 heading into the last period. 

In the last period, both teams tried to take command of the game. The Swiss team started the period strong, equalizing to 2-2. But the Czechs were not done, scoring three more goals ending the game with a victory of 5-2.
