The third day of the championship started with the Group A match between Finland and Slovakia in Arena Blue. For favoured Finland, the match was perhaps more difficult than they expected. Still, they brought the game to a happy ending,  Finland defeating Slovakia 13:4.

The Finns started the game better, taking a 2:0 lead. Slovakia did not give up and at the end of the 1st period, the score was 3:3. The game was decided in the second period, in which Finland scored three goals and took a comfortable lead. The Slovak team also had several chances in the second period, but could not take advantage of any of them. In the third period, Finns did not give the Slovaks a chance. In the end, Finland won 13:4 and won Group A. Tomorrow the Finnish team will face the semi-finals. Today’s defeat was Slovakia’s third of the tournament. In the next days, they will fight for the best possible position.
