Thursday’s programme of Men’s U19 World Floorball Championships in Brno at Arena RED ended with a very dramatic duel between Slovenia and Estonia. Players from the North of Europe were still leading 3:0 after the second period, but Slovenia managed to equalize. Both teams take one point and the final standings in Group C will be decided by the last matches on Friday.

The game was full of tough clashes and for a long time, it looked like only Estonia would score. It wasn’t until the 42nd minute that one of the heroes of the match, Anze Podobik, finally came through and scored four points (2+2). Slovenia tied the game at 3:3 and although Estonia took the lead twice more, Slovenia equalized each time and the match ended in a 5:5 draw. Slovenia will play against Belgium and Estonia will play against Hungary on Friday.
