Three World Floorball Championships await this year as the Men’s U19 WFC and 3v3 WFC are played in Zurich and Winterthur in Switzerland and Women’s WFC in Brno and Ostrava in Czechia. 

Men’s U19 WFC 2025 + 3v3 WFC 2025 (Zurich & Winterthur, Switzerland)

Over 1,300 tickets have been sold, with most of them for the Final day in the Swiss Life Arena and the LOC has a marketing plan towards the Swiss clubs and other target groups like coaches, employees of the city and the Canton of Zurich. The LOC is starting a marketing campaign to give supporters their names on the game shirt of Team Switzerland. The promotion through the Street Floorball Events continues with the event at the Zurich Main railway station on the 12th and 13th of April. Over 6.000 school kids will attend the games during the group stage.

The final qualification event for the U19 WFC 2025 was held from 29th January – 2nd February in Latisana, Italy. The teams qualifying from these qualifications were the Netherlands and Slovenia.

3v3 WFC will be played with 27 Men’s & 21 Women’s teams. A first-ever registration for an IFF event was received from Hong Kong. The venues will have 5 rinks and teams will play matches over two days. There will be A & B-finals like there was in the 1st 3v3 WFC, but there is the addition also of bronze medal matches.

Women’s WFC 2025 (Brno & Ostrava, Czechia)

The Match schedule and the ticket sales started before Christmas. The cooperation with the Sport Agency and cities is good.

The first ticket sales have begun with Czechia group tickets and final weekend passes. The group ballot has been confirmed for 20th of March in Ostrava. Regular meetings have been scheduled between the LOC and the IFF office. Those will be held once a month until the end of May, twice a month from June – September and then weekly from October until the event starts.

Qualifications

The EUR qualifications were played in Latvia (28th January — 1st February) and Italy (29th January — 1st February). Six teams (Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Germany, Norway, Estonia) qualified from Latvia and five (Switzerland, Netherlands, Slovakia, Poland, Denmark) from Italy. The Americas qualification will be held in Austin, Texas, USA from 8th – 10th March 2025. USA & Canada will play a best-of-3 series to decide the qualifying team. The AOFC qualification will be held in Singapore from 18th – 22nd March 2025 with 8 teams competing. The top 3 teams will qualify for WFC 2025, while the top 2 will also qualify for The World Games 2025.
