At the end of June, another year of the popular summer floorball tour will start. Amateur floorball teams will meet together for a total of six open-air tournaments in the centers of six Czech cities. This urban outdoor game format was introduced in the Czech Republic in the summer of 2018 as part of the promotion for the World Championship event.
The fifth year of the Street Floorball League tournaments will this time offer matches in the city center of Pardubice, Ostrava, Brno, České Budějovice, Prague and will visit Pilsen after a one-year hiatus. All tournaments are already full. Immediately after the start of registrations, all destinations began to fill up very quickly.
The matches are played in a 3vs3 format without goalkeepers, with small goals and on a field measuring 24×12 meters. One match lasts 12 minutes without stops, with the exception of the last minute of the game. In each tournament, depending on the number of participants, teams will be drawn into basic groups, from which the best will advance to the subsequent playoffs and play for victories and valuable prizes.

—We are really happy see floorball become visible in the hearts of cities around Europe. It is a great way to offer a relaxed way to play outside the official season and hopefully also reaches some new people. Obviously it also presents more opportunities for sponsors to be visible and especially use these events for activations. This must be a record year with the outdoor concept premiering in Germany this summer and floorball also being on display outdoors at the Sports Garden exhibition area at the World Games 2022, explains Tero Kalsta, Sales Coordinator at the IFF.
