Group D

Poland v Norway

The team who wins will ensure their participation in the World Championships final round and face Sweden in tomorrow’s final. The pace of the game was relentless from the beginning but it was the young Norwegian team that pushed on and lead 3-0 after the first period. Poland couldn’t find a way to Halvorsen‘s goal despite playing in power play. Poles continued the attacks but could not improve their shooting efficiency and Norway kept the three goal distance before the last period. Erlend Vestby extended the lead to 4 goals before the final whistle. Match statistics available here.
