Floorball will take part at The World Games for the second consecutive time. The World Games 2022 is an 11-day international multi-sport event organized with the support of the International Olympic Committee.
Held the year following the Summer Olympic Games, The World Games 2022 will showcase a New Generation of Global Sports in Birmingham, AL, USA, from July 7-17, 2022. An anticipated 3,600 elite athletes from over 100 countries will compete for gold in more than 30 of the fastest growing sports in the world.
The Floorball competition will be held from 8th – 12th July. There will be 8 men’s teams divided into two groups. The first three days will be group matches, followed by semi-finals, placement and medal matches. Teams will have a maximum of 14 players and up to 4 officials. Game time will be 3 x 15 minutes. Only in the play-off stages will there be extra time and penalty shots, if required. Now the match schedule has been released:

Floorball at The World Games
Floorball first participated at TWG in Lahti in 1997 as an invitational sport, however, in Wroclaw in 2017, Floorball was an official medal sport for the first time. At TWG 2017, the Floorball competition was held over 4 days, from 27th – 30th July, and involved 6 men´s teams divided into two groups of 3.
