The Men’s World Floorball Championships will take place from 3rd until 11th December 2021 in Helsinki, Finland. Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany and Norway are playing in Group B.
How has Covid-19 affected the team’s preparation for this WFC?
We had to cancel camps and international tournaments during year 2020, and then try to catch up on things in 2021. For Swiss Players, most challenging thing was that the Swiss league did not play for a long time during the last season.
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2020?
Switzerland is always a hard fighting team with a strong spirit. The team consists of players who can control the game and create scoring chances. Switzerland will try to win a medal at this WFC, ideally reach the final game.

Versatile scorer who has great vision and a lethal shot.
Strongest defender:
Physically really strong, never backs down for tough battles on the court.
Toughest player:
Plays a strong two-way game and is relentless in everything he does.

How has Covid-19 affected the team’s preparation for this WFC?
Schedule of the national team was for sure different comparing to normal campaigns to the WFC. We were a little bit lucky to play the international matches against Slovakia already in September 2020 and then again in July 2021. Training camps were in the program almost like planned, but for sure all the players from abroad were always impossible to get there.
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2020?
Czech team is quite young and enthusiastic combination of players from different ages. Many players are coming from U19 champions from Halifax and Brno and team is a nice mix of skills, physics and knowledge. The team tries to show attractive and effective floorball with good vibes and positive emotions.

Most dangerous attacker:
Young center who can score himself or play empty net to his teammates, has a good shot, strong movement and ability to lead the team on the court.
Strongest defender:
Compact and modern defender who is very sure with the ball and can play hard and fair defence on the own side, can be productive players in the offence.
Toughest player:
A young gun who can be universal player for all positions.

We will see it during the WFC….
How has Covid-19 affected the team’s preparation for this WFC?
Covid-19 affected the preparation a lot. First of all German Floorball Bundesliga couldn’t be finished in the season 19/20 or in the season 20/21. Between September 2020 and April 2021 was no camp with the national team possible. But we tried to make the best of the situation and don’t want to complain too much. We’re looking forward to play the WFC in Helsinki!
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2020?
The team consists of a core of players from the WFC 2018 added by some new and young players. We are going to build up a new idendity of German Floorball with the men team. The WFC in Helsinki is supposed to be the first step. There will be a big fight for place 5 and we want to be part of that. We know it is a great challenge but we want to fight for the World Games.

has good instincts as a attacker and need really little space to be dangerous.
Strongest defender:
Good defender in both direction, can introduce game openings and assist scoring chances but plays in defense also with a high intensity.
Toughest player:
Defender who is combining physical play with great technical skills.

How has Covid-19 affected the team’s preparation for this WFC?
The team had it’s first national team camp in the end of August 2021 and has prepared as good as possible witin the time frame left before the WFC.
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2020?
Our national team is focusing on continueing to improve all the factors we could have an impact on. The enthusiasm in our team is tremendous.

Has played in SSL for many years and is the team captain.
Toughest player:
Is defenity our toughest player whom our oponents will notice during and after the match.
