MU19 WFC playing system
For the U19 WFC there is no longer A- & B-division. Instead, the 15 teams are divided into four groups in one division based on ranking and a ballot. Groups A/B remained unchanged from the original ballot, while C/D had some changes with the addition of the replacement teams.
After the group stage, the top two teams from Group A and Group B play the semi-finals. The 3rd placed teams in those groups will play for the fifth place. The 4th placed teams in Group A and B play against 1st placed teams from Group C and D, and then winners/losers play each other for the 7th-10th places. 2nd placed teams in Group C and D play for the 11th place. 3rd and 4th placed teams from Group C and 3rd placed team from Group D play for 12th-15th. The placings are decided on the cumulative results of these matches and will also include the result from the 3rd v 4th Group C match.
