Viking Roma celebrated the victory of the tight Women’s Italian Cup. Viking Roma defeated the Black Lions in the tight Cup final 2-0. The Men’s and Men’s U19 national teams also held their training camps during the weekend.

This very unusual floorball season in Italy continues. After the Women’s Triple Challenge between the national teams of Italy and France the final in the Women’s Italian Cup was played between Viking Roma and Black Lions this Sunday.

A very tight match with two teams defending very well and the match was decided only in the third period. At the end it was Viking Roma having the last say with Camilla Olshov scoring the 2-0 goal with only 29 seconds left. For being a floorball game it was a quite unusual score, thanks to the good defence and excellent goalkeeping of both teams.

Men’s & Men’s U19 training camps

During the weekend the Men’s and Men’s Under 19 national teams held their training camps with a lot of hard work in the city of Bolzano.

The Under 19 team guided by the Head Coach Marco Concli is preparing for the WFC Qualifications to be held in September 2022 and he has a number of new players since it is a new age range.

For the Men’s team it was the first training camp under the new Head Coach Michel Betrisey and the Assistant Coaches Alessio Scapozza, Joel Pereira and Matteo Sartori. They face the challenge to prepare the team in quite a short time, since the WFC Qualifications will take place already in February 2022. Luckily they can count on the experience of many players from the last qualifications in 2020 and the support of the Team Manager Gianluca Corti.
