When almost all Floorball Leagues were suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic, International Transfers continued. Below is the summary of the International Player Transfers in 2020.

International Player Transfers 2020

Over the 2019/2020 transfer period, the IFF received a total of 591 ordinary Player Transfers which makes it 26 less than in year 2019. The pandemic and national league suspensions made players look for oportunities to play abroad and therefore 73 players took an oportunity to temporary play in a foreign league.

Due to lack of International Tournaments played during summer, there was no Temporary Play Transfers or Student Transfers.

International transfers were done to a total of 20 different countries in 2020. The TOP four destinations were Finland (127), Sweden (126), Czech Republic (98) and Switzerland (93).

Players were mainly transferring from  Sweden (108), Switzerland (106), Finland (96) and Czech Republic (92).

The next International Transfer period starts on the 1st of May 2021 and the transfers will be made valid starting from the 1st of July 2021. More information about the International Transfers available here.

* The International Transfer window remains open for the players that have not had their license valid for the past two seasons and for those who return to their country when the league has been suspended during the ordinary transfer window. Read more
