The annual Olympic Day is celebrating sport and Olympic values. This year the day is celebrated on Tuesday 23rd of June with a 24-hour online Olympic workout.

The global COVID-19 pandemic postponed this Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and since the worldwide lockdown, the Olympic athletes have shared their daily workouts online in connection to IOC’s #StayStrong, #StayActive, #StayHealthy campaign. The Olympic Day 2020 takes this campaign even further with a 24-hour online workout. At least 23 Olympic athletes have joined the recording of an official Olympic Day workout video and on Tuesday 23rd of June, the athletes around the globe will lead live workouts from 11 a.m. local time across 20 time zones on The Olympic Games Instagram (@olympics).

The entire Olympic Movement has been mobilised to join the online activities on 23rd of June. The International Olympic Committee and its partners, including Olympic Games Organising Committees for Tokyo 2020, Beijing 2022, Paris 2024, Los Angeles 2028 and Milano-Cortina 2026, the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Federations (IFs), Worldwide Olympic Partners and rights-holding broadcasters, will be among those encouraging fans to join the virtual workouts.

– Please join us in this IOC Olympic Day workout sessions to #StayActive in these extraordinary times and prepare for the continuation of Floorball. It is very important to keep up the activities and the campaigns like this that help to enforce all floorball players to find ways of practising while the team practices are still not possible in a part of the world, says the IFF Secretary General John Liljelund.
