The Czech Men’s U19 World Floorball Championships gold team finished 10th in the World Games Athlete/Team of the Year contest with a total of 27158 votes. 

The Indian Hockey star Rani was elected The World Games Athlete of the Year 2019 with 199477 votes. There were 25 candidates in total.

• 2018: Burkina Fason Women’s team finished 18^th out of 25 candidates, winner Arina Chernova & Georgii Pataraia (RUS), Gymnastics
• 2017: Mika Kohonen (FIN)  finished 10^th out of 21 candidates, winner Reza Alipourshenazandifar (IRI), Sports Climbing
• 2016: Peter Kotilainen (FIN), finished 6^th out of 16 nominees, winner Sofia Olofsson (SWE), Muaythai
• 2015: Sweden’s Women’s national team, finished 14th out of 18 nominees, winner Libor Hroza (CZE), Sports Climbing
