Both the men’s and women’s league have started in Ukraine. The season will end on 17th of May when the Super final takes place in Kyiv.
Men’s league
On the 11th-13th of October the Ukrainian men’s championship kicked off in Uzhhorod. This year the highest league is played with eight teams: Lemberg, New Life, Storm, Skala, Vulkan, Iceberg, KFC and Zaporizhia. The regular season is played in four tours. The favourite of this season is the reigning champion FBC Lemberg who also participated in the Euro Floorball Challenge this year. The team was placed second and their forward Marian Hrabovyk was the top scorer of the event with 7 points (4+3).
Before this season the biggest transfer news was that six players from last season’s bronze medallist team Yantar transferred to Storm Ternopil. Also the team New Life Lutsk was able to surprise everyone when winning three out of four games and the team is now holding the second place.
The next tour will be played in Zaporizhe on the 16th-17th of November.
