The preliminary match schedule for the Women’s U19 World Floorball Championships 2020 has been published. The WU19 WFC is played May 6th to 10th in Uppsala, Sweden.
This will be the first time that Sweden hosts the Women’s U19 WFC and the first time that China will participate in a WU19 WFC. Another change is that the event is played with a new playing format. Instead of A- and B-Divisions, there are 16 teams playing in four groups, divided by ranking and ballot.
The event begins with the match between New Zealand and USA in IFU Arena B. On the same day the host country Sweden, will play against Norway in the evening match. The group stage matches will take place until Friday the 8th and among these are two top games, Switzerland – Finland on Thursday and Sweden – Czech Republic on Friday.
After the group stage, the tournament continues as follows:
- 9th May: Semi-finals and placement games
- 10th May: Medal games and placement games.
