Second day at the Women’s U19 WFCQ and second win for Russia and Austria.
Hungary – Russia
Second match for Russia was much tighter than their opening game on Wednesday. Russia started very strong and took a quick lead in third minute thanks to #19 Anzhela Mudrova, Russians managed to score 3 more times in the first period but the last five minutes were under the Hungarian control. 16-year-old #15 Nora Lelovics scored twice and Hungary was close to equalise at the end of the first period. It took the Hungarians one minute of the second period to score another goal and equalise the result. Russia managed to extend their lead and ended the game with 8-4. The best players award went to #15 Nora Lelovics (3) and #11 Elizaveta Nadeeva (3+1).
Italy – Austria
Confidence was with Austria after their yesterday’s win over Netherlands. #9 Sarah Trenker opened the scoring for Austria in eight minute with the assist of #15 Maria Wyk who also assisted to Austria’s second goal. #2 Rebecca Kuzel gave the Italian goalkeeper no chance scoring two more goals for the away team. Last ten minutes of the match belonged to Olshov sisters. With less than 11 minutes to play, #17 Camilla Olshov scored first goal for Italy with the assist of #16 Roberta Olshov. Two minutes later the roles changed and Camilla passed to Roberta for the Italian’s second goal. #2 Rebecca Kuzel collected a hat-trick scoring the last goal in this match. The final result was 7-2 for Austria.
