This year’s Swiss Supercup was played on Saturday at Saalsporthalle in Zurich. Two games were played between the reigning Swiss champions and the reigning cup winners.

Women’s Supercup

The match between Piranha Chur and Kloten-Dietlikon Jets was expected to be a tight one, although the last season’s double winner Jets was seen as the favourite. Chur took the lead in the first period, when Katrin Zwinggi and Alexandra Schneller scored. After two periods the numbers were already 4-1 for Chur. Kloten-Dietlikon Jets were left without chances to win, when Chur’s lead further increased in the last period. When Mari Aanerud scored the 7th goal in the 47th minute, the game was over for Jets and Chur could celebrate their third Supercup title. Final numbers 7-1 for Piranha Chur.
