The Swedish teams Pixbo Wallenstam IBK and IBF Falun were victorious in the Czech Open, played August 8th – 11th in Prague. A total of 228 teams from 17 nations played in the 2019 edition of the tournament.

Women’s Final

The women’s final was a tight match between last year’s Czech Open champion Pixbo and the Swiss team Kloten Dietlikon Jets. Pixbo won the final 6-4. The Czech national team forward Eliska Krupnova played an impressive match scoring 3+2 in the final.

Men’s Final

Falun played against the Swiss team SV Wiler-Ersigen in the men’s elite final. The final became a thriller which was only decided after a shootout. Falun was leading the match 5-3 in the third period, but Wiler-Ersigen evened the score with less than four minutes remaining. Emil Lundmark succeeded with the decisive shot and the 2018 Czech Open champion, Falun, could celebrate the 2019 victory.
