The women’s national championships were played during the weekend at Valle Sanchinarro arena, in Spain. Once again, the event attracted a full house which represents a great success for female floorball in Spain.

Semi-finals were played on Saturday in a great atmosphere. The first match was played between CDE Valle and Floorball Escorial. The game was incredibly tight and CDE Valle needed the overtime to get the first spot in the final, beating Floorball Escorial finally 7-6. The second spot in the final went to CUF Leganes, who defeated the first-timer Fenix San Lorenzo 7-3.

The bronze match and the final were played on Sunday. In the bronze match, Floorball Escorial won 5-3 against Fenix San Lorenzo. In the final, CDE Valle challenged the reigning champion CUF Leganes and finally succeeded to win the championship. Final numbers 7-3 for CDE Valle.

Final standings:

Champion – CDE Valle

Silver – CUF Leganes

Bronze – Floorball Escorial 

Fourth – Fenix San Lorenzo

The men’s final between Floorball Escorial and CUF Leganes will be played next weekend.
