The World Floorball Championships qualifications groups EUR1 and EUR3 continued today in Gdansk, Poland. History was written in female floorball when Belgium made their debut on the WFC level. The winners of the day were Denmark, Italy, Sweden and Poland.

The day started with the match between France and Denmark. Mathilde Lundberg Christensen was on top of her game producing 4 goals for the Danes and was elected best player of the team. Like yesterday, the French goalie, Lucie Thevenet, was facing a lot of  shots (31 saves) and was elected best player of team France.

The match between the debutantes Belgium and Italy was a hard fought battle where the Italians came out as a winner in the end. Deservedly the Belgian goalie Sielke Forment, who played a terrific match, was awarded best player of her side. For Italy the best player award went to Camilla Olshov.

Norway opened their tournament in an all Scandinavian clash against their neighbors Sweden. The reigning champions showed character and marked a convincing 1-17 victory. Regardless of the end result the Norwegians gave the Swedes a run for their money.  With 2+4 points  Amanda Delgado Johansson (SWE) earned the best player award and for Norway it went to Karen Farnes.

In the final match of the day the host country Poland took on the Estonians in front of a good crowd 1000 strong. The Polish won with a final score of 7-1 and secured the important points. Malgorzata Kulczycka (POL) and Johanna Siling (EST) were elected best players.
