The WFC Qualifications started in Slovakia with two games. Germany and Finland were the winners today.

In the first game, Germany faced Austria. Germany was stronger in the 1st period and after 20 minutes the score was 4-0. Second period only brought more trouble for team Austria, that could not find ways to prevent Germany from scoring. Final numbers were 17-1. Best players of the game were  Germany’s goalkeeper Indra Reck and Vera Gebert from Austria.

In the second and last match of the day, Spain confronted Finland. Although Spain being the underdog, they fought well in the start and attacked aggressively. Finland’s 11 goals in the third period were finally just too much and finalised the game for good. Final numbers 21-1. Veera Kauppi (FIN) was the top scorer with her 5 goals and was awarded the best player of the match. Spain’s Paula Arenal Beltran‘s great game performance and goal got her the best player award.
