Welcome to the IFF Champions Cup – Final four

Floorball has taken important steps to reach our Vision and ultimately a place in the Olympic Games. With the “Olympic Agenda 2020”, and “The New Norm” there are a lot of initiatives, including possible rotations of sports on the Olympic program, and the “upgrading” of the World Games. TWG 2017 in Poland was a huge success, both from the sporting as well as media and political perspectives. The road to TWG 2021 in Birmingham, Alabama, USA is on!

Floorball’s own events, The WFC and the CC are therefore very important from the sporting perspective, club teams need to play against the best, in order to improve and develop. At the same time we need more events from the marketing/political side, to showcase Floorball as a youth oriented and fast growing sport worldwide. The CC shall in the future continuously be played with both women and men. IFF with all the stakeholders are looking at a new format, starting from 2023, and evaluating all aspects, how to play, including on a home- and away basis, when during the year it best fits in into our and other multisport events calendar, and how to finance the tournament. The General Assembly also gave the IFF Central Board the task to look on all competitions, and during the period until 2022 also test and evaluate this, including our playing time.
