The 12th Men’s WFC is held in Prague between 1st-9th December and the tournament has already attracted a lot of audience.
The Men’s World Floorball Championships 2018 kicked off today in Prague, Czech Republic. The tournament, which aims to be the biggest WFC yet, has already broken records during the first day.
12 326 spectators watched as the home team Czech Republic won against Germany 10-5. This is the new opening day match spectator record. The match between the floorball giants Finland and Sweden also gained a lot of spectators as 10 113 fans cheered for the teams in the arena. All in all, a total of 31 073 floorball fans attended the first day of the WFC 2018. This is also a new opening day attendance record.
The previous records were from WFC 2016 in Riga, Latvia. The match between Latvia and Sweden had 8 011 spectators and 13 280 fans attended the first day.
