According to the study, 488 goals were scored from 4599 shots in the Men´s WFC 2016. The common goals and performance indicators were differentiated in the publication. Other findings of the goal analysis were for example shots that led to a goal, scorers and defensive actions. For example, the highest percentage of goals were scored when the ball was situated to the bottom third of the goal. The player scoring the goal was usually from the team´s 1st line and 84 % of the goals were scored without pressure or when only small defensive pressure was given to the player. Other interesting results can be found from the publication. The authors also promise to return to goal analysis when the next WFC takes place in Prague.
