The national leagues in Sweden (Svenska Superligan) are starting this week. The Superfinal will take place 27th of April in the Globe Arena.

Albin Sjögren (Storvreta IBK) and Malin Alkelöw (KAIS Mora) are interesting players to follow from SSL (photo).

SSL (Men)

The first games in the Men´s SSL will be played today and 14 teams are playing for the trophy this year. Last season´s winner Storvreta IBK is expected to be strong this season as well. The coaches of SSL were asked about the regular season standings of the teams and Falun and Linköping were expected to challenge Storvreta. Players to follow this season are for example last year´s  top scorer Albin Sjögren from Storvreta and Falun´s Johan Samuelsson. Samuelsson returns to SSL after playing two seasons in Switzerland.

SSL (Women)

The Women´s SSL begins on Thursday. The regular season is played between 14 teams, including the reigning champion IKSU. According to the coaches, the top three for this season will be KAIS Mora, IKSU and Endre. KAIS Mora is definitely hungry to win this year, after last season´s defeat. Players to follow from  KAIS Mora are Anna Wijk, who has been elected as the best floorball player in the world for several times. Another interesting player is Malin Alkelöw, who gathered 46 points in the regular season last year. The Finnish players Oona and Veera Kauppi transferred to Sweden and IKSU this season and it is interesting to see how they will start their games in the SSL.
