243 teams from 15 different countries played in the biggest international floorball tournament for adults, Czech Open, in Prague 9th-12th of August. Swedish teams were victorious in the Elite categories.

Women’s Final
SSl team Pixbo Wallenstam IBK made their way to the Czech Open final by defeating the Czech Fat Pipe Florbal Chodov 3-2 in the semi-final. IBF Falun, who play in the second highest level in Sweden called Allsvenskan, won against the Swiss Kloten Dietlikon Jets 5-3 in the other semi-final.
At the very beginning of the match, Falun scored the opening goal. However, that was their only goal of the match. Pixbo showed their scoring skills and won the match 5-1 as well as the Czech Open 2018 title.

Men’s Final
SSL team Pixbo Wallenstam IBK were also seen in the Men’s final. They defeated the Finnish team EräViikingit 4-3 in a tight semi-final match. SSL team IBF Falun had a bit easier semi-final as they crushed the Czech team Fat Pipe Florbal Chodov 10-1.
Only one goal was seen during the first period of the final as Falun opened the scoreboard. At 38:25 Falun increased their lead to 3-0. Pixbo’s opening goal at the end of the match didn’t bring much comfort as it was answered right away by Falun. Falun won the final 4-1.
