The Finnish Superfinals will be played at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki on Saturday.
The regular season winners and reigning champions Classic faced Indians in the semi-finals. Classic continued their victorious season and beat Indians four times in a row with a +18 goal difference. The other semi-final pair Nokian KrP – Happee was more even. The matches were eventful and two of them went into overtime. Happee defeated Nokian KrP four times within six matches and made their way to the Superfinal.
Classic have won the title two years in a row and so far things are looking up for them to win a third one. They have dominated throughout the season and have only lost once. Happee have played rather variant floorball, but the element of surprise is possible when the winner is decided in one match. Happee have won the title once, in season 2013-14.
Regular season results:
Happee – Classic 4-9
Classic – Happee 10-2
The Men’s final is played 16:30 local time
Classic made their way also to the Women’s final without suffering any losses in the semis. The reigning champions and regular season winners won against EräViikingit three times in a row. Classic will be facing a familiar face from last season’s Superfinal as SB-Pro defeated PSS in the semi-finals. SB-Pro also won three times in a row, though the matches were more even.
Classic had a +88 goal difference after the regular season and they have won the title nine times and eight out of those nine times were during the past ten seasons. SB-Pro have won the title once in 2013-14 and lost the last season’s Superfinal to Classic 2-5.
Regular season results:
SB-Pro – Classic 3-2
Classic – SB-Pro 8-7
The Women’s final is played 12:30 local time
