Mr. Tero Kalsta, (BBA) 44, has been employed as the IFF Sales Coordinator. He has started working from the beginning of 2018. He will be stationed in Vevey, Switzerland where he has been living with his family for just over a year.
Tero has a long working history in sales, marketing and account management. During his career he has also held several management positions. He is no stranger in maneuvering on the international scene having worked in the European mobile content business. He has also lived and worked in Switzerland in the beginning of the millennium.
He is a “vintage” floorball player as he was introduced to the sport in the late 80s in school. He played his first season in the Finnish Floorball Federation leagues in 1993 and established a team (Loiske Kings / SBS Kings) in 1994 which still plays in the Finnish II-division. According to him, his game and enthusiasm gained a renaissance once he was eligible to participate in the Senior Leagues in Finland. In the last eight seasons he has won eight Finnish Senior League Championships medals (none gold though…). He currently plays for the Lausanne Unihockey Club.
As the Sales Coordinator his main task is to secure top level international sponsors for the IFF. In addition to sales his responsibilities also include account management as well as sales and marketing development. He is also Project Coordinator for the IFF Champions Cup.
– I’m very excited to join the IFF team and about this chance to help the floorball family if you may. Floorball has given me so much that I’m happy I can put my passion for the sport and professional know-how to use for our federation. As studies show (Global Sports Impact Event Study) we have a quite strong position in the world of sports (21st of 70 events (WFC)) which entails a lot of marketing potential. My goal is to match this potential with the correct international partners.
Tero is married and father of two daughters (11 and 8). The home team also includes two dogs. In addition to floorball he enjoys crossfit, alpine skiing, reading, travelling as well as gastronomy and wine.
