The IFF Material Board has in its meeting decided to continue the use of the extra-long sticks for the seasons 2017-2019. The testing started four years ago and it is still continuing.

The players taller than 190 cm can apply from the IFF a special permission to use extra-long stick. The application shall be sent to the IFF to the e-mail address halonen(at)floorball.org. The players between 190-194 cm can use after the permission granted a stick with the overall length of 116 cm and players 194 cm or taller can use a stick with the overall length of 118 cm.

Those players who have already have the permission during the seasons 2015-2017 don’t have to apply the permission again. They just need to be in touch with the IFF office to receive a new permit card.

The application for new players applying for the permit needs to include a medical certificate of the height of an individual player signed by a person with medical education.
