Floorball All-Star Games will be organised in Stockholm in the end of May and top floorball stars will be seen at the event.
– “For the love of the game” sums up the event quite good! says Jonas Thomsson, the organiser of the All-Star Games. All-Star Games will take place in Stockholm, Sweden 27th of May. The event will include a skills competition where the floorball superstars compare their skills in different tasks such as passing, shooting and penalty shots.
– Just imagine competing with the world’s best players. Someone trying to outdo Alexander Galante-Carlström in a shooting competition or Anna Wijk in a passing competition, says Thomsson.
Thomsson is hoping to make the All-Star Games annual. He is a big floorball fan and that is why he created the event:
– I have dreamed of this event for four years or so. For the past years, I have collected a network and made myself familiar within the floorball community. Now they all know who I am and my burning desire for the sport. Maybe one reason why they all said yes to this was that they got tired of me asking, he says jokingly.

The event wouldn’t be the same without the floorball stars and for them Thomsson is grateful:
– They also want to give something back to the floorball fans. To the ones who are always watching the games, following them on social media and supporting them. This is one way for them to also say thank you.
A traditional North vs South All-Star match will also be seen in the event. Players will be divided into two teams geographically and battle for the win. But who are these stars?
– I can’t tell you all the players just yet, it’s part of the excitement! But for example, the big names such as Anna Wijk, Alexander Galante-Carlström, Mika Kohonen, Rasmus Enström, Ketil Kronberg, Amanda Delgado-Johansson… and the list goes on.
Since it’s not possible for the whole international floorball family to make their way to Stockholm, the event will also be streamed on the All-Star Games Youtube Channel with English commentary:
– It’s totally free and everyone can watch it. We wanted to think about the international floorball community and this way we can reach as many floorball fans as possible.
The All-Star Games takes place at Eriksdalshallen, Stockholm, Sweden on the 27th of May.
