A total of 397 tests were carried out in floorball in 2016. One Anti-Doping Rule Violation was reported regarding a test that was conducted during an IFF Event.
Out of these 397 tests, 65 tests were conducted in the IFF Events (Men´s WFC, Women´s U19 WFC, the CC & EFC and Qualifications) and 32 were IFF out of competition (OOC) tests including 6 ESAs and 6 GH/GHRFs.
Samples analysed for Erythropoiesis Stimulating Agents (ESAs, e.g. EPO) and Groth Hormone (GH)/Growth Hormone Releasing Factors (GHRFs) are on the same level in floorball as in 2015 in order to meet the requirements of the WADA Technical Document for Sport Specific Analysis (TDSSA). The objective of the TDSSA is to protect clean athletes by establishing Minimum Level Analysis for those prohibited substances that are at risk of abuse in particular sports.
The IFF Member Associations and/or National Anti-Doping Agencies annually report the national level doping control activities to the IFF. This year there were 159 in competition tests (148 in 2015) and 141 out of competition test (104 in 2015) reported by the IFF member associations/NADOs.

In 2016, there was one Anti-Doping Rule Violation in floorball.
Summary of Anti-Doping Rule Violations in 2016:
– 9 months ineligibility period for a Spanish national team player, who tested positive for Carboxy-Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a metabolite of marijuana and/or hashish, above the decision limit of 180 ng/mL, as a result of a sample collected on February 4th 2016 in World Floorball Championships 2016 Qualifications Europe 3 in Lochow, Poland.
