Canada and Germany were on fire during the second day of U19 WFC 2017 B-Division.
Japan – Canada 3-13 (0-4, 1-4, 2-5)
Japan and Canada were still both without points. Canada were the first to score after six and a half minutes. They kept having more ball control, whereas Japan tried to score on counter attacks. When the first period ended, the score was 4-0 for Canada. Japan got a chance to score on powerplay, but unfortunately for them, it ended in a shorthanded goal by Canada. After 40 minutes the Canadians had a strong 8-1 lead. The third period was rather eventful as both teams got a chance to score on powerplay. In the end, Canada won the match 13-3.

Norway – Estonia 8-5 (1-3, 4-1, 3-1)
Even though Norway hold the ball for the most of the first period, Estonia were the ones who scored the goals. During the second period, Norway got their groove on and went from losing 1-3 to a 4-3 lead, with their fourth goal being scored shorthanded. Estonia evened the score, but a few minutes later Norway were in the lead again. In the third period, Norway increased their lead to 7-4 with a powerplay goal. Norway won the match 8-5.

Germany – USA 18-4 (6-1, 7-2, 5-1)
Germany surprisingly lost to Australia yesterday, but today they were a whole new team. They didn’t miss the net and after the first period were already in a 6-1 lead against USA. At the start of the second period USA decreased the score to 6-2. They handled their 2-minute penalty as well, but with 30 minutes played Germany started to put the ball in the net. With 40 minutes played, the score was 13-3 to Germany. The third period was also controlled by Germany. In the end, they won the match 18-4.

Australia – Hungary 6-2 (1-0, 2-1, 3-1)
The battle between Australia and Hungary during the first period was even. Both teams had scoring chances but Australia were the first to score with almost 13 minutes played. The second period was also tight. Australia´s tight defence allowed only one goal for the Hungarians. After 40 minutes, Australia were leading the match 2-1. In the third period Australia were able to open the game beautifully and their player #91 Liam Perry was on fire. He scored his fifth goal of the match at 54:29 and secured Australia a 6-2 victory.
