Swedish Superfinal was played on Saturday at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm. IKSU and IBF Falun are the new champions and also won a ticket to the Champions Cup 2017 in Seinäjoki.

Women’s Superfinal
IKSU played against Kais Mora IF in the Women’s Superfinal. When four minutes had been played Kais Mora IF got a chance to score the opening goal on powerplay. They were unsuccessful and the first goal of the match was scored by IKSU at 11:26. Within the next six minutes IKSU scored two more goals and put IKSU in a 3-0 lead. At the end of the period Kais Mora decreased the score to 3-1. Three minutes were left on the clock when Kais Mora took a timeout. Unfortunately for them, they weren’t able to score more goals and in the end IKSU won the title with numbers 4-1.

Men’s Superfinal
IBF Falun played against Växjö IBK in the Men’s Superfinal. Växjö were the first to score at 15:30 and only 23 seconds later they increased their lead to 2-0. Falun started the second period with a goal and few minutes later evened the score. Falun were more efficient and after 40 minutes the score was 4-3 for Falun. The even fight continued in the third period as Växjö’s Markus Jonsson put the ball behind Falun’s goalkeeper Johan Rehn and made the score 4-4. Best player of the year, Alexander Galante Carlström scored the winning goal for his team Falun with 11 and a half minutes left on the clock. This meant that Falun became the champions once again after a one season break.
