Two games for the group EUR4 today, the first game between the newcomer Ukraine to this level against Czech Republic, who has a young and hungry team. Ukrainians have showed some good playing in the tournament and will most likely in the future be a worthy opponent in the WFCs.

The second game of the day was very important for both Hungary and Spain because both of them had the chance by winning still to compete of the spot in the Final Round.

There were no doubts who the conductors in the rink were in the first game. It seemed that the Czechs had decided that they want to break some old goal scoring records and that was exactly what they were doing and eventually did.

A new all-time goal scoring record in the WFC history became reality during the game, when the team Czech Republic took a walk over victory 45-2. The performance of team Ukraine in general was still positive and we as the whole Floorball family hope to see them in these tournaments in the future as well.

Hungary vs Spain

Spain and Hungary were both looking for one of the best three spots in the European qualifications. Spain having played a great game against Latvia and Hungary also had good games anything could happen in this game.

Spain started the goal scoring, but Hungary soon had their moments and in the first period team Hungary already took the 4-1 lead. There was a full house and maybe that caused some extra pressure to the Spanish, since considering the game as such, both teams has their chances. Few easy goals in the first period made the difference.

Some changes to the playing tactics for the second period brought Spain back and at 23.33 Spain scored and it was 4-2 for the Hungarians. The game was very tight, both teams having their chances and it was more a question of the amount of shots and especially successful shots. The third period still to be the decisive, three goals different and in Floorball that is not much.

Hungary took x-x victory and they still have the chance to make it to the Final Round By being among the two best thirds of the European qualifications.
