During the Men´s WFC 2016, the players from all of the participating teams will have the chance to vote for the male representatives on the IFF Athletes´ Commission. The IFF has received 8 male nominations: Shaun Frazer (AUS), Tomas Sladky (CZE), Tero Tiitu (FIN), Junoh Lee (KOR), Ole Mossin Olesen (NOR), Johan Samuelson (SWE), Manuel Engel (SUI) & Manaure Russo-Mendoza (FRA).
Four male representatives will be elected to the IFF Athletes Commission (ATC) for the next four year period and the results will be announced in February 2017 after the elections for the female candidates, which will be held during the Women´s WFC Qualifications.
Here we meet Ole Mossin Olesen of Norway & Tomas Sladky from Czech Republic.
Tomas Sladky, Czech Republic
Age: 30yrs Current Club: IBK Alingsås (SWE) WFC´s: 6 (2006-2016)
During his floorball career Tomas has played in all of the Top 4 leagues – 1. SC Vítkovice (CZE), SV Wiler-Ersigen (SUI), Koovee (FIN), Jönköpings IK (SWE). He studied Sport Management and Coaching at Palackého University in Olomouc, and is currently living in Sweden where he works as a floorball instructor at a school in Göteborg (SWE). He has played over 120 matches with the national team and has two WFC bronze medals from 2010 & 2014.
“I have been playing floorball for 22 years and about 12 years on the top level but I still continue to collect new experiences in my career. I feel that it would be exciting to be part of a committee which can help develop this great sport”.
Ole Mossin Olesen, Norway
Age: 28yrs Current Club: Tunet IBK (NOR) WFC´s: 5 (2008-2016)
Ole has represented Norway at both U19 and senior level, and has scored almost 100 points (55+40) in just 62 matches with the national team. He is well know in the Floorball world for his impressive Zorro skills during matches. He currently plays with Tunet IBK, and has been their team captain since 2012. Away from Floorball, he works in finance.
