The top leagues have started in the top four floorball nations. During this year, the IFF will take a sneak peek of what the situation is in both Men’s and Women’s top leagues. First up is Czech Republic.
Tipsport Superliga
In the Men’s Czech league Tipsport Superliga, most of the teams have already played seven matches. Technology Florbal MB is currently on the lead with 19 points. The team has only lost one match on overtime to FbS Bohemians.
Last season’s finalists are neck and neck. Reigning champion Florbal Chodov (who came 3rd in the Champions Cup 2016) is second with 17 points and the silver medalist 1. SC TEMPISH Vítkovice is third with 16 points. The season has not started well for the new team FBC Liberec. They are at the bottom with only three points. FBC Liberec has only one win behind them, though they did lose to Chodov by only one goal.

Extraliga Zen
The top three regular season teams from last season have also been triumphant this season in the Women´s Extraliga Zen. Herbadent Praha is currently first since they have not lost a single match, Florbal Chodov is third with 16 points and reigning champions 1.SC Vitkovice (who also came third in the Champions Cup 2016) is fourth with 15 points. FbS Bohemians is holding the second place with 17 points, though they have not played against the previous “top three” yet. TJ Sokol is having a tough season, since the team has only one point and the goal difference is -41.
