UHC Weissenfels and FBK Kometa played an exciting and entertaining match against each other. Weissenfels won and will play tomorrow in the semi-finals against Olimpia Osowa Gdansk. The other semi-final will be Sveiva IB against FBK Kometa.

UHC Weissenfels-FBK Kometa 5-4 (1-1, 2-2, 2-1)

The first 20 minutes between UHC Weissenfels and FBK Kometa were really entertaining. Both teams had their chances to control the game and to score. Weissenfels based their tactics more into ball tempo and Kometa on the other hand tried to shoot more from the distance. Klara Grossova did the first goal of the game at 02:19, but Magdalena Tauchlitz tied the game after a nice passing combination at 17:53.

The second period was just as the first. Kometa took control for a while and then it was again Weissenfels’ turn. It was also seen in the scoreboard. At 25:35 Miriam Bukova scored 2-1 for Kometa, but 31:09 Magdalena Tauchlitz tied the game. In the next shift Kristina Hudakova did 3-2 but 30 seconds before the second intermission Katja Leonhardt tied the game again.

The third period started with Weissenfels being the better party and scoring the first goal of the period at 42:19. Little by little Weissenfels started to lose their grip and Kometa took the game in their hands. The decisive goal was although made by Weissenfels when Magdalena Tauchlitz gave a wonderful pass to the back post where Sara Patzelt put it in the net with a backhand slap. Paulina Hudakova decreased the score one and a half minute before the end but Weissenfels could defend their lead and took the 5-4 victory.

Weissenfels’ Tauchlitz scored 2+1 and Leonhardt 1+1. Andrea Gerdes assisted two goals. Paulina Hudakova was the most effective player of Kometa by scoring 1+2.
