Six teams will compete in the Men’s category of EuroFloorball Cup 2016. The EFC is played in Weissenfels, Germany on the 5th – 9th of October 2016.

The EuroFloorball Cup is the championship tournament for the 5th and lower ranked European national club champions and is played with 6 teams for both men and women (12 teams in total).

The EFC 2016 winners in Men´s and Women´s categories will qualify directly to Champions Cup 2017. When the EFC winners participate in Champions Cup 2017 they will each receive 5,000 CHF prize money.

Group A

SK Lielvarde
Latvian SK Lielvarde consists mostly of local players (75%) and the team´s average age is the optimal 24,7 years. Their aim for the tournament is to go home with the trophy.
Players to watch:
Janis Salcevics: He was chosen the best goalkeeper in the Latvian Championship. He is patient and agile.
Atis Blinds: Team´s head coach and a player with an accurate and strong shot.
Aivis Kusins: Fast player with excellent technical skills. Versatile player who is able to play any position in the team.

FBC Spartak Moscow
FBC Spartak is considered as one of the most potential men´s teams in Russia. They have placed second twice and won one bronze medal in the Russian Floorball Championship. Five of the club´s players are members of the Russian National Team. Their target is to win every single game and demonstrate excellent and exciting floorball for their fans and spectators.
Players to watch:
Nikita Bryn: Smart player who always keeps his eye on the competitor´s goal and controls the area. Outstanding technical skills especially with goal/pass combinations.
Dmitry Polyakov: Fast and furious player who manages to create excellent goals.
Dmitry Kurach Diverse player with good physical and technical skills.

UHC Sparkasse Weissenfels 
German team is quite young, but has already gained experience from international tournaments. Most of the players have developed with the team and thus, they play well together. Their goal for the EFC is to reach the semi-final and to win the tournament.
Players to watch:
Anssi Soini: The top scorer of previous season. He is fast and has great technical skills.
Tim Bottcher: Team´s captain and a leader. Versatile player with strength to play both defense and offense.
Martin Gladigau: One of the teams youngest players, 18 years old, very talented and quick player with excellent technical skills.

Group B

Tunet IBK 
Norwegian Tunet has a good team with a mix of young and more experienced players. Their major goal is to win the European Cup.
Players to watch:
Ole Mossin Olesen: One of the best players in Norway, with long experience in both the club and the national team.
Martin Kjellemar: One of the best and most offensive defensemen in Norway.
Bendik Baero: Multi-talent, who can play both offense and defense.

Estonian team is young, fast and furious. They are not just coming to participate, but the goal is to win the whole tournament.
Players to watch:
Mats Tamme: Young, but already one of the main players of the Estonian national team. Makes no mistakes.
Siim Stokkeby: A goalkeeper with great reaction skills and who entertains the spectators with his acrobatic saves.
Kristo Lehiste: Most valuable player of the Estonian League in 2016. His strength is in his great shots.

TV Lilienthal
TV Lilienthal placed second in the German National League last season, after which the team had a radical change in its roster. Because of this, they started an intensive and long pre-season, in order to be well prepared for the upcoming season. Their main target for the tournament is to enjoy and get more experience from international matches and show everything they can and see what can be achieved.
Players to watch:
Nils Hallerstede One of the best goalkeepers in Germany. The team achieved the finals last season thanks to his fast reflexes and big saves.
Janos Broker: Broker is a very fast wing with a great killer instinct in front of the goal. Watch for him and enjoy his playing style.
Frank Brinkmann: A great defender with a very inconspicuous style of play. He wins a lot of 1:1 fights and scores at the right time of the game.
